After seven months of dedicated time and effort from members, we are pleased to announce that phase 1 of the RLC Placing Implementation Guide is complete and ready for pilot/testing by members of the business community. RLC member participation in the working groups has averaged double digits throughout Phase 1. The group had strong representation and input from U.S., London Market and Europe who have either successful placing platforms implemented or experience in implementation placing efforts.

The scope of Phase 1 included documenting the high-level business flows for reinsurance placement. The pilot/testing phase is planned for completion by mid-March 2006. Large Commercial users are encouraged to review this document and provide input from both a reinsurance and large commercial perspective.

Phase 2 will be submitted as for approval at the completion of the pilot/testing phase. Phase 2 will complete the reinsurance cycle including Endorsements, Cancellations, Special Acceptances, Corrections, Tax Issues, Accounting & Settlement and Multi Layer contracts. We will begin this effort with a meeting focused on Large Commercial requirements.  A tentative 2006 end-of-year date is planned for this phase.
